Essy Ghavameddini

Essy Ghavameddini's passion for photography and need for apropriate education prompted him to move to the United States in 1976. He graduated from San Diego University in 1980 with an Industrial Arts major in Photography and Graphic Arts, and became the official photographer for the San Diego Professional Soccer Team soon after.

His 30 years experience has been focused on Special Events, Major Concerts, and domestic and international sporting events. The Men's Soccer World Cups of 1994 in the USA, France 1998, and the Women's World Cup USA 1999 when he was the official USA soccer Team Photographer and traveled with the USA teams.

Various local and national publications including Sports Illustrated, USA Today, L.A. Times, San Diego Union Tribune, San Diego Magazine, Hockey News, Soccer America, Soccer Digest and Sports News have published his sporting event images.

Essy enjoys participating in local community volunteering with organizations such as Miracle Baby and La Jolla Elementary School.
